Frequently asked questions:

How much are your puppies?

Let's get down to the nitty gritty shall we? How much do one of our puppies cost?

All of our Akita puppies are placed at $1400 regardless of gender and color. We spend all of our time with our puppies from the moment they are born until they leave our home. We extensively work with desensitizing our puppies and making sure that they are confident to take on life wherever they may be going.

The absolute earliest I will ever let a puppy go is 8 weeks of age. Some puppies tend to mature earlier. We might have to keep some puppies up to 10 weeks before letting them go. You would be able to make a deposit.

When can I visit my puppy?

After much deliberation and praying we have recently decided that we are no longer going to allow visitors in our kennel. There are so many k-9 viruses floating around we want to make sure we keep our kennel as sanitary as possible. Which leads to our next question.

Because I can't visit my puppy, do you send pup-dates?

YES! I try my best to send updates at least every 2 weeks. I ask that you be patient with me, as I am a stay at home mom and chasing babies is my very first priority next to being a wife. I am not always able to send high resolution pictures (which irritates me sometimes!) But I will make sure to send you updates on how your baby is doing and growing. I enjoy the relationships I am able to build through being a breeder and I truly LOVE sending you updates. Don't ever be afraid to ask for an update :)

What food is my puppy raised on?

When selecting what to feed your Akita, choose a diet with high-quality animal-based protein sources, such as beef, chicken, turkey, lamb, duck, eggs, and fish! We do not sacrifice price when it comes to feeding our mamas and puppies. We want them to have the best start to life as they possibly can.

There are other great brands of food out there, we just ask that you feed your pup a food free from, corn, meat by-products, artificial colors, flavors or preservatives.

Do you have a waiting list?

Yes. We have went several years without collecting a wait list before pups arrive but, have decided that it is best to find committed homes for our babies BEFORE they are born. This helps ensure they are going to families who have truly thought out how serious adopting a puppy is. If you are interested in being put on one of our waiting lists feel free to contact me anytime!

Do you take deposits ahead of time?

Yes. We accept a $400 deposit to hold your spot on our waiting list. You can contact me any time to be added to our waiting list and for further information about where to send your deposit to.

When and how do I pick out my puppy?

Because we don't allow visitors in our nursery, the picking process goes in order down the waiting list. I take high quality pictures of all puppies at 2 weeks of age and you pick your puppy out via picture. We understand that this is sometimes found inconvenient to not be able to pick your puppy out in person, however; after much experience ourselves with breeders we have found that when the breeder helps us pick our puppy, we got exactly what we were looking for every time.

What is the main goal of your breeding program?

My number one priority is temperament. The attitude and nature of our dogs is extremely important to me. We are beginning to train all of our dogs for CGC and Therapy work. We feel so blessed to be able to share our four legged babies with others through therapy. So temperament is an absolute must to ensure that we are producing excellent quality puppies for wonderful families as pets or potential therapy dogs themselves. Of course alongside temperament goes beautiful structure. I have waited and waited, passed up many of potential puppies until I found the full package I was searching for in our program. I am so beyond blessed to have the fur babies I do have and love that I'm able to share a little bit of them with potential clients and their families!
